Pictures aren't gonna work.. Close one is way to fuzzy.. Far pictures don't have the resolution needed...
Try finding them here..
This site covers most of the "common" stuff found in saltwater tanks/on rocks,etc..

I find myself wanting to guess at colonial hydroids (Hydroids - Colonial in that link) based on the "things on stems" comment..

Look at ball anemone, or pseudocorynactis.

ok after seeing your post and googling... i think i go with you, looks spot on to what i can see, is only white as well and them ones seem to get good reports. so fingers crossed they are ok as found another on that rock behind it. moved it to a place i can see it, also is some coral i think, looks slimy and is black but firm like leather, and some yellow fluffy stuff i am hoping is a sponge

Hey, now. I was first by almost 5hrs....

sorry it was yours i meant to click, it filled with posts as i was checking it and i click the one on screen after it refreshed. i really should check the preview before i post, thanks again, bought some more corals yesterday, a rock with a selection of a few on so curious to see if i get hitchhikers, i so far have a snail (colonista) and some tiny swimming things that became free fish food, looked like small brine shrimp. clowns loved them as did the cleaner wrasse

new hitchhiker... has a big claw on his right 1cm wide body, stony coloured, mean temperament but i think you would be if a huge hand grabbed you as you was sleeping on the top of the glass, photos aint the best but when my daughter wakes up will get better, i really need a new phone i think and not to break the lens this time

following on from my crab post, i have a bad suspicion he is a gorilla crab, cant see hairs but he is tiny , colour looks right, big claw as well with black tips. currently staring at me in a glass jar with some water i put him in. after reading i am glad i caught him. now i am wondering if it is the one i saw the other day or if i have another bugger in there, think that was more green though but now i doubt myself
