Whitening Emerald Crab

I've had an emerald crab in my tank for about five months. When it arrived it was all green. Now, it's covered in white patches, which has happened gradually over months. Is this normal or a sign of problems?

Usually normal. They often get covered by bryozons, algae, & other small encrusing critters.
