Anyone have one? I found one online, but it's 299 for a large. Just curious how rare these guys are and if I should snap him up?

Outside of the last year you never saw them. I just got an email from LA from a request i put in in 2009 for availability. Pacific East Aquaculture gets them in now they bought a fish collection station in Fiji.

They are at LA now, 299 for a large, but I ended up going with a gold flake angel from PIA for the same price.

LA is great(I live about 3.5 hours from them) and took the tour in March, but their non DD goldflakes were 420.00.

aquarium city in southern cali had two of them for 199 each. They were about 3in.

I saw two or three at Tong's in Orange County for $129 and Seaside Tropical Fish for $95. But honestly DD prices, though much higher, might be worth it because of quarantine and wider reach of customers throughout the country that don't have too many LFS with high quality livestock.

I got a 3" one from Pacific East Aquaculture. It was very healthy and is doing great. They also had some yellow juveniles a couple of months ago. That would have been cool to watch them transform from bright yellow to their adult coloration.

Glad to see them becoming more available. I looked for over a year before I finally got one.

I just ordered 1 from LA, 5 to 6 incher. I won't find out until tonight when it ships if they are still in stock and I got one though.

I actually just cancelled it. I called pacific east and they thought they had some coming in and might be juvenile and are quite a bit cheaper.
