i need to get my acrylic sump drilled for my skimmer. does anyone have experience with this and can help me out? or suggest someone? i would like to attempt to get this done in the next couple of days if at all possible. thanks jen
yes, very simple.. Just keep the bit (hole saw) going. If you stop mid stream, the bit will sometiome melt to the acrylic and then it gets a little scary and tough to get going again.
Acrylic is pretty crack resistant. You have to work at it to crack it. Just don't force the drill. Get the cheapest set you can. Harbor Freight kicks them out for almost nothing.
Yes, this is pretty easy to do. Pick up ahole saw at HD, a little bigger than your bulkhead. Mark your target, set your dill to full speed, have youre wife to squirt water while you doing the drilling, dont force it,just give'em a little presure ,before you know it , penetrate already. Have fun, wear safety goggles.
