Who got my Teal Stag?

Ive been wondering the same thing about the stuff I got. Most of it was from Sparks but I did get a really nice milli or prostrata thats green and bluish purple, reminds me of like a hairy hulk version.

Yeah, it was nice meeting you all and hanging out with you Sam. I left a Tyree Insignis and a rusty echino.

The insignis is one of my favorites. It's a neat looking coral. It's a fast grower and bulletproof (for me).

Norman I think I need a frogfish.

Hey Hector,
I was the one lucky enough to get your teal stag and it looks great. Already showing some new coralites. Do you have anymore info about the coral? Lighting? where it came from?

Thanks for bringing such a great piece to the swap.

No problem. I got it as a frag from my friend Saltybob when he was shutting down his tank (Jesus bought it) a few years ago. SB didn't know what it was, but it was looking crappy. Most likely, it's one of the "collectible" frags, but I really have no idea.

I do know the following:

1. It grows fast.
2. It's tolerant of a wide range of conditions, flow, and light.
3. It looks like a a Steve Elias stag, but it's really thick, and the color is different.

When it's looking it's best, it's a vibrant teal aqua blue with sky blue coralites and tips. It's colorful even in the shady spots. It's one of my favorite corals and I seldom frag it. I think you'll find that it's really a low maintanence acro.

Norman cut that out.

Forget the colors is that guy doing a two finned push up. Talk about a show off. Norman, what range of colors does he do? I was about to say, that's a cool red sponge. I think I'm going to get one too :D

Hey Justin 74,

Here is the pic of the mother colony of that acan echinata frag you got from me at the frag swap-

Awesome! Getting some nice diversity with my acans, blue eyes, purple eyes, mottled brown and orange, now green! Very generous fragment considering the size of the colony, thanks again wakskat :)
