Just wondering how long people have had thier Welsi's captive.

All mine died slowly after having them for around 1-2 years.

I do have two polyps popping out of what I thought was a dead skeleton.

here's some pics of my deceased peices....

I just recently lost ALL of mine. I think it had something to do with one of my lights exploding but I can't be sure. Anyway they all just withered up and died :(

they are VERY sensitive. I lost half a colony(merletti) about 1 mth ago that had 100-115 heads...now I have 40-50. Man was I bummed. I dont know why it happen? might have been I forgot to do top off for 2 days but who knows...could have been coupled with many things to **** it off. All I do know is that I did a 15g WC and fed the tank and they died at a slower rate until they stopped...a few still look iffy.

both my wellsi & merletti colonies are receeding too :( don't know why. i've had both for about 6 mos maybe.

I have never had a problem with my merletti. They just keep getting bigger.

The welsi is a different story. I can't keep them for more than 6 months and just like the elegance coral I will not buy them anymore.

i too have had problelms with wellsi all mine have slowly died off but my merllettis have only gotten bigger:confused:
