Your right the first pic does look similar. I have come to the conclusion that many of the polyps posted are the same, just for some reason the conditions in my tank have made mine a more solid green with less nongreen around the mouth.

The pictures i have posted kinda hint at that, since the first pic is older, and it has more grey in the middle, and the later pic is from a more recent date where they are a solid vibrant green color.

Whoa is that first one have red skirts, very cool. Yeah these are similar too, i think the last one is green crossettes, which i have and find to grow very fast. My polyps grow very slow.

No, they're brown, but the WB on my camera is really terrible.

LoudProudNPunk,

i got them from a friend of mine who was no longer into zoas.

they literally spread down the whole rock (the side not visible in the pic... but there were about 200 polyps at its high point). the were doing great till i went to college. during the fall, aiptasia got the better of them. my 55 also crashed, so that finished off the straggler surviving polyps.

if i was home, i guarantee they would still be alive. my parents are taking way better care of my new nano.

i had them under hqis. they seemed to like it a lot. im sure they would be fine under t5 though.

and no mine didnt morph. lucky i gave a frag to my LFS. in march i think im going to try and get some of these back.

hope that helped.

oh, and great pics people! keep em coming!

Are those what you called Mr. Green Beams? i couldnt find it on zoaid.com

...
i took a shot in my tank that sums up alot of what ive been talking about. It shows the similarities to Tubs and Nukes and the difference between mean greens.

also, they are brighter than these polyps [not the red skirted ones]

does that seem like the ones you used to have? By the way those yellow versions you have are amazing. great colony.

it melt totaly before, but after a month growth back. it growth very slow. already 1 years, it still cannot cover up the frag plug.

yup those are mr green beams. !!! looks very nice. and yea they do grow slow. i gave my LFS a 4 polyp frag a while ago, and 6 months later... its only like 7 polyps. they are mad nice though. greenest zoas out there minus NGs

I would consider that pretty slow compared to other zoas. But quite fast for these guys.
