I was at the LFS yesterday and they had a custom made LED fixture.. It was amazing how the colors popped under the actinics.
Now, I'm thinking about adding some to my system, but I'm not crazy about spending the $400-500 for a 20 inch custom fixture.
Anyone use the Powerbrites that have 4 LED's per 12 inch fixture? How good are they? I've heard they are super brite, but how about the following:
If I were to buy a few (say 5 or 6 total) and connect them inside a custom canopy, could they sufficiently grow corals? I'd have about 20 or 24 LED's total for my 20x20x20 inch cube..
What is a good 'conversion' (IE to T-5's or MH lights)
Thanks for your input.
