Well since i just went thru a 30+ hour poweroutage from sundays storm it has got me and the wife thinking. What do some of you guys with BIG tanks and stuff do for power in a situation like this?
Anyway my wife reminded me that we own 4 generators in total!
I only rmembered my one that i just used to get thru this ordeal. Anyway i was guaging interest to see if any of you might be interested in getting a generator that would be big enough to run your tanks and fidge etc to get thru something like this. I have 2 other ONAN generators that do not use and they are the stationary type like you would see in a BIG motorhome or a BIG travel trailer. All they would need is a fuel tank, muffler and a battery. Fuel tank could be one of those like use in a small boat even. Muffler could be of your choice to reduce db.
I dont know the specs off the top of my head on these but if anyone shows interest in them i will get pics and the details. You could for 140 ish dollars get a automatic transfer switch to hook up that would make this a nice setup to have. They are ONAN's and are really good generators. it would be easy to make a sort of like doghouse on the side of ones house to house the generator etc and conceal it.
Anyway let me know if anyone is interested in one of these and i will get details to you about it.
