Who wants to build a stand for corals?

I'm looking for someone to build a stand and canopy out of maple

36x36 (cube)

I'm offering tons of corals for someone to do it. all tyree, ATL, limited edition or whatever you want, have probably 100+ corals to choose from. When I say tons I mean TONS!!!!!!!!! did I say TONS!!!!

I'm sure people around here will vouch for the selection.

I just ask that it's good work!

How pretty does it have to look? It's times like these that I wish I knew carpentry.

You might check with Jason Glaspie, he does good work. I've seen his stand and canopy in person and it is very nice.

hmmmm a cube you say... Tons of corals too... Maybe if I stay at a Holiday Inn Express tonight I can come up with something...

All I have at my disposal is Oak and Walnut right now. That and I know there are other *cough Glaspie *cough that could do much better work.

If you decide later that 2x4's, plywood, and black spray paint would work give me a holler.

Here is a pic. I already have the 90 gallon, eventially I want to add the desk in the middle but for now the priority is just the cube tank. Everything is to scale and I can give much more detail if someone is thinking about it. I'd like the maple to match the other stand as far as dimension goes. The majority of the stand is made out of 3/4" with a 11/4 base around where the tank sits. Inside can just be 2x4's or whatever and one door in the front.

I've thought about just putting together a 2x4 stand but the picture above is what I purchased the tank for so I'm leaning towards doing it that way. I wish I would have not been screwed and instead of posting this I would be posting a 3 moth progress of what it looks like full of corals!

How productive are you REALLY going to be with aquariums on both sides of you?! You wouldn't get anything done at that desk!

if/when you go through with the build, this is going to become an even MORE awesome setup! I wish I had tools from my old job and I'd do it in a heartbeat, but building in my college apartment livingroom prob wont go over as well with the non-reefers. they just dont seem to understand
