Surprised to see some shiny black claws emerge from a hole in a rock this evening, grabbing stuff and shoving it into a crab's mouth. Very shiny black with an irridescent green overtone. I didn't see any hair, but the body of the crab didn't emerge from the shadows. I estimate the crab to be about 1.5 - 2" long. It fed itself for a few seconds, then seemed to see me looking at him, and went "POOF!" Disappeared.
It's my first animal hitch hiker (that I know about).
It's in a 30 gallon cube with an RBTA, clarkii clown, dwarf flameback angel, 2 neon gobies, and several hermit crabs. I haven't noticed any damage to anything, except maybe my snails don't seem to live very long.
Should I worry about getting him out?
