Who's going to MACNA this year?

I went down for the day on Saturday. Was interesting and I learned a few things from the vendors and picked up a few cool toys. Corals were way overpriced and none of the equipment was a great deal (maybe on Sunday when they sell the display stuff).

Was very dissapointed that Calfo's talk on Propogation was changed to Photography and Borneman's talk on RTN was changed 'the future of reefkeeping' Saturady morning. 2 of the 3 lectures I drove there for (and paid the extra $55) I didn't end up going to and the 3rd was a rehash of what I had read before.

Oh and they need to move the photography class to Sunday evening. After the saturday one every single tank had people with cameras blocking them while they took 10 pictures of every single fish and coral to test their new skills.

I was surprised when I saw those ZeroEdge tanks on display. I didn't think I'd like them, but when I saw them on display they seemed really sleek. The one on display at the ORA booth was especially nice. The only thing is that I don't really think you can have much in terms of mobile livestock. The lady at ORA said that even the seahorses would go over the edge.

Dang...Even I got excited when I saw that. Thought maybe one of you guys was buying tickets in my name, and I finally hit it big.

I keep meaning to renew my dues, but I don't think I've been able to make a meeting since before Chuck took office last year...

I can't wait to see what we do with it either. Jenn's ticket won it so I guess technically it is hers to do what she wants with it. I just get to live with a sweet tank. It took a few hours to get it apart and into the car/ truck. Some time in the near future I am sure we will be requesting help to get in the house. We will also be doing a build thread on here when the time comes. Right now I am sleepy and off to bed. It was great seeing those who where in Pitt. and hopefully I won't have to work and will see you again friday at the meeting.

I gotta say I am jealous!!! That was a sweet looking tank. I would love to see it when it goes up. To all those that didnt win it though for a small fee I would be willing to loan out my expertise and help all of you make your tanks into overflowing ones. Plenty of experience!!!! LOL
