Who's going to MACNA XX?

Anyone need a hotel reservation for Macna at the Westin?

Our plans changed and I forgot about canceling it. Now I am 3 hours over the deadline to cancel without penalty.

Margi,

I bought my tickets for aquarium on line using the aquarium's website. I did not see any behind the scenes tour available. Where do I go to buy them? TIA

There are discounted GA Aquarium tickets availble through the MACNA site at www.MACNAXX.com. The GA Aquarium link in the lower left takes you right here....

Sorry, unable to edit my previous post, but those discounted tickets include behind the scenes tour options.

Based on last years Banquet, there was no dress code. Quite a few people dressed up semi-formalish, and there was quite a few that dressed very casual e.g shorts, etc.

This year being in such a grand banquest hall, I have a feeling many will be dressing to the nines.

I just volunteered to work the trade hall on Friday. Be nice to us volunteers or else!:uzi:

Just kidding! Looking forward to my first MACNA.

what is the dress attire for the Saturday night dinner. just want to check before its to late

Our bottom line - be comfortable, be happy, and have a great time. The previous poster is correct - you will see the entire range of dress.

I'm stoked to hear the Manta Ray was brought in just in time for "us" to see ;)

The past banquets I've attended are awesome..great food and great presentations! I highly recommend getting a full pass if you can!

wait this isn't a sleep over party?

MAAAAAAAAN!

There is an old saying in Atlanta - if you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes and it will be different. In general it will be hotter than you are used to in Toronto.

Right now it is great - basically sunny temps in the 80s, not too humid. Gusav was Way to our West, but we got some well needed rain. Hanna appears to be hitting anywhere between Miami and NC, and then almost all computer modeling show it going due Northward Way to our East, reaching PN by Sat. At worst we might see some rain - right now it looks about 20% for Sat.

Bottom line? I don't know. Look at the weather service as it gets closer.
