whos got peppermint shrimp

Is there any stores that have peppermint shrimp on hand? I need some to work on my aiptaisa. In looking for some adult sized ones.

Has anyone had real success with these anyway? I always see my cleaner shrimp doing it's job, but rarely my peppermint. However, I just added them. Do they start with the small ones and move on to bigger ones?

Deep Reef in Downers Grove usually has them for I think $9. I didn't know they eat aiptaisa.

they are usually hit or miss, but if acquired in groups you have a better cahnce. That is why you will usually see them sold in group specials like 3 for $20. I have a 110 gallon with aptasia and plan on getting like 12.

I had 2 larger sized ones that did a great job a couple years ago. I added 5 small ones a couple months ago and they dont even touch the stuff. I was wanting to try my luck with a coule larger adult sized ones.

I have a pair in my 75 gallon and there are no more aptasia

We put 6 in our 50 gallon. Been in there for about 4 months. They were all pretty small. Now we have 3 or 4 left but they've all grown big.

We had a few (6-8) aptasia or aptasia looking anemones when we put them in . We zapped a few with hot water and a syringe. Whatever we didn't get or came back later has since vanished, so I assum the peppermints ate them. The peppermints would only come out in darkness for the first 3 months. The cleaner shrimp would be out at any hour. Now the peppermints come out with the lights on.

I've gotten my peps from LivingSea and have always gotten aiptasia eaters.

Mine ate my aiptasia overnight. I got mine from tropiquatics in Lombard.
