someone is eating my zoas and star polyps, but not my palys.
which one of my fish could be doing it?

valentini puffer
bi-color angel
hippo tang
maroon clown
yellow watchman goby
bi-color bleeny
firefish
they are all in a 75g with total 105g system volume
the zoas and gsp is not nipped on, one day there are like 20 polyps then next day there are 5, then they r gone.
its not the nipping where you just see a small bite mark.

or could it be some sort of crab?
I have a few hermits, blue legged and a orange legged one.
also have a few crab hitchhikers

Bi-color angel or hippo tang fo so.

A few crab hitchhikers as in spiky skin or smooth skin? That could also be an issue.

puffer is in my fuge right now, caught him last nite off-guard and decided he needed to go into the sump before any further damage
do you think I should leave the hippo and the angel in for the time being and see what happens?
or just go ahead and take out the angel as well?

angel or puffer. maybe both, puffers like harder coral (SPS) to sharpen their teeth while angels tend to like zoas. i have a hippo and he doesn't bother my zoas, i have 4 kinds and doesn't mess with them as of yet.

angel would be my first suspect then the puffer. i wouldn't think about the hippo

Well, you caught at least one vandal. I own a Bi-color angel myself, keep an eye on them. They do have a proven record of misbehavior, esp. toward LPS & Clams.
