Yes, but there are no clear evidences of that,it is like a rumour:hmm2:
The IO at Hi works very hard on raising yellow tangs,but they just could have the larvae syçurvivung few days.
 
If you want to do it soon go with banggai cardinals (they are also easy) ,neon gobies(similar to clownfish but not as popular),yellowhead jawfish (not terribly hard),and/or orchid dottybacks(they are harder to raise though). Clownfish could take 3 years(1-2 is common) to spawn and are aggressive. If you want something easy buy a mated pair of neon gobies.
