Why am I getting all this white stuff?

Why am I getting all this white stuff? It appeared a week after I installed a new sump with a refugium, when I started using PhosGuard in a reactor. It is now more than two weeks after that and these stringy or cow-web like white stuff continues to "grow"or "appear" specially on the glass, on green hair algae and on my MP10 pump:

Water pH is normal but Alk, Ca and Mg are a little low (6dKH, 350ppm, 900ppm) and I am using Alk buffer and Ca buffer (alternated) to increase them. I dose Vodka, 3ml per day in two 1.5ml doses. Total water volume is 250L.

One thing I forgot to add, my skimmer also skimmed a light green liquid for a few days.... have never heard of light green skimmate.... is this strange? Does anyone know what is this or what is going on?

Nobody? I tested water params todat and this is what I got:
Salt=1.025
Temp=27.1C
pH=8.4
Alk= over 3 meq/L (over 8.4dKH)
NH3/4=0
NO2=0
NO3=0
PO4=0
Ca=350ppm

Except for Ca being low, all goog, right?

So, what is this white stuff??

I could be wrong, but it looks a lot like what GHA looks like when it dies off... adding a fuge and phosguard reactor could be killing off your GHA fast...

+! to GHA die off

It turns a pale green/white color and flakes off. try and pull some off. if it comes off really easily then yes its dieing off. if its still rugged and doesn't wanna budge then its something else
