What can cause anemone to change shape all the time?
I can see it one time opening very nice and an hour later shrinking to minimal size or stretching forward so it get very thin ,
i forgot to say its Bulb Anemone.

just insure it is not getting too much flow. Beside shrinking due to high flow, they adjust the amount of light they receive by shfting shape and they will also turn into a ball when feeding, finally they sometimes do it to expell waste.

They will also do it to recruit the carbohydrates produced from photosynthesis by the zooxanthellae in the tentacles or outer parts and bring them back to the central disc. All the tissue needs the energy, so the parts that do not have zooxanthellae have to get it to and reducing size by expelling water, makes what weak circulation there is more timely. That's the good answer.

The bad answer is that something is stressing it out and making it try to protect itself. That list is long.
