why are aio so expensive

anyone know why its $100 for a 12x12" sheet of acrylic with some small tabs on the side? i could probably ask my engineering teacher nicely for some acrylic and i could make my own for free.

I have often though of doing one myself. Just sectioning the back off of a aquarium.

The hard part is attaching it to the back glass so no water cheats and is secure. It would need to be big enough to get your had down.

You could do a acrylic box like the do at Fiji cube.

Someone is really proud of their work. I'd look around for a small aquarium, food storage container or tote that is the right dimensions.

So much cheaper to just DIY these things out of glass.
