Nobody has mentioned say a pistol shrimp? In my last tank i lost a few small fish in a short period of time and then in the middle of the night i heard the clicking. At the time i was unsure if it was just my equipment or heater flicking on and off. But when i tore apart my tank when i moved i was pulling out a huge rock and guess who's inside? A 4 inch brown pistol shrimp.
Why are my fish dissapearing??

I had to remove a rogue emerald crab once. It tried to grab every fish that passed. Then saw it try to decapitate a nassarius snail... later that night I saw it cut a large healthy palythoa clean off the rock. Finally removed it when it was running from me by pulling out the rock it went in. Mine was a male btw. You can tell by looking at their underside.
