Why are the whiskers on my Duncan's shrinking?

Not really sure what its called so I'll run with whiskers. He's been in the tank for a few months looking good. Then about a month ago they just started shrinking. The rest of my corals are doing great.

What kind of fish do you have in your tank? I had a pair of clowns that just smothered my duncan. I had to get rid of it to save it's life.

Your Mag seems very high btw. You going to want to get a reading on that Kh as well.

salinity swing can do that, do you target feed them? i do that twice a week with PE mysis.
