Why are you charging sales tax?

Hi!
I was about to place a large order for Live goods from Live Aquaria for items shipping from California, when I noticed a "sales tax" total at the bottom of the order. I went back to check other orders I have placed from online vendors, and none of them have charged any sales tax for internet orders. Am I being charged tax because I live in WI and LA is now based in WI?
