Why can I adjust Red and Green lights on my AP700?

Why red and green? Why not another color(s)? What's the significance of those two colors on my Kessil AP700 lights? The fixture offers the option to increase/decrease the percentage of those two colors at each programmable point. Is it for my preference only? Or do those colors play an important role of some kind I'm missing when it comes to growing corals, etc.?

Red and green have no role in coral health or growth. Red and green are only for adjusting the look/color/brightness of the display. I don't even use them. Green is seen the brightest of all colors to our eyes so adding a little green/red can change how the display appears. That's it.

To demonstrate what I'm talking about do this in manual mode. Turn the lights full blue, then by 5% start adding equal red/green intensity. Each 5% notice how the look of the display changes.
