I HAVE 3 250 WATT 10,000K IN THE MAIN DISPLAY! 210 GALLON AGA? I was told this is plenty for an sps tank??? I also run a chiller to maintain around 80 degrees temp? I don't think either one is the issue Im going through?

actually I was wrong I have 3 150 watt 10,000k lights...this may be one of my problems with a 30" deep tank....is this enough lights to grow sps?should I try to sell the setup and get something brighter? Im not sure the coralife setup will hold 250 watt mh bulbs?

it's enough for them within a certain distance of that light

whether the tank is 30" or 30', you will have whatever 18" below the lamp to grow nice colored SPS.

ok I may have solved my own problem.....mt tank was doing very good for a long time but I kept having algae buildup on the overflows....so I done 2 big water changes and bought alot of snails and stopped filter feeding phyto...It was just a matter of time things started cleaning up in the tank...so I was excited...until I noticed pe on my acros went down hill....and I had a few wild colonies from foster & smith to die(rtn) and keep in mind the same time I set up a calcium reactor......so I think from all the stress of the new reactor, wild colonies and lack of nutrients was the main cause of the 3 colonies to die out....I had a few sps frags that have flourished during this whole experience....

up date:

I now do 2 week water changes of 45 gallons and filter feed every other day, running the skimmer wet every few days instead of every day....I think I starved my tank(atleast for the sps to flourish) I have bought a few small colonies I bought from a lfs for a great price and they so far look great I put them on the bottom and going to slowly move them up...
