You dont have to spend lots of money on lenses if you get a Pentax IST* DS or DS2, they work with every pentax lens made going back to about the 50's. You do have to be willing to manually focus your SLR along with manualy setting your FStop, but I set that stuff manual anyway. Lots of great lenses cheap on ebay ;-)

I am already pretty well invested in Canon and their white lenses.

She typically sees red tail hawks. There are a set of vultures that hang out at a barn near the end of our street a few times a year. I'll make sure I send those pics her way, too.

Invested?? How can you say that about buying those cheap lenses? But seriously, some great shots.
