I've had this Monti for a few months and he's been doing great. Even grown a little. All of a sudden he's got a white ring around him that wasn't there yesterday. Please help diagnose why?
Tested tonight.
Sg 1.025.
Alk 3.88 meql
Calc 460
pH 8.3
80F
Nitrate 5
Phos 0-0.01
4 days ago I added about 20lbs LR. Two weeks prior another 20. I bumped him once during the addition. But he didn't break.
Just a very thin white ring. But I want to nip this in the butt before it gets worse.
Ive been feeding a little lazy. Maybe too much.
But my phosphates and nitrates haven't moved. So I thought it was OK.
Lights are 8x 3W blue 455nm
8x 3w 420nm
14x 3w white.

Waiting on more blue and better t5.
Coralife 125 skimmer. (Before you hate on it, I've heard it all. Just don't. unless you actually think it's the problem. )
I've had an explosion of hair algae in my fuge. I thought it was just because I put a rock with some on it down there and introduced it to 24-7 light. But none in the DT. Only algae in dt is some green powder on the brand new LR. (Was dry). And some coralline I need to scrape off the side glass.
65 gallon dt 30g sump
Running carbon at the moment.
Also my hydnophora is looking less puffy. But no signs of bleaching. Birds nest looks great. Full PE. Green slimer full pe. All softies full pe.
The monti been in a new place in the tank for the 4 days but has had full pe until today. Raised about 6 in from previous place. Color is slightly faded as well.
A few days ago I added a good bit of phytoplankton. Maybe 50ml.
