Hey Roger,
I got a brand new 6055 today and the way you mount it is different than all of other Tunze. Normally, there are 2 magnets: one used outside and another inside with the mounting bracket. You stick them together and you are done. The new 6055 came with 3 pieces. One outside magnet, one mounting bracket without magnet and another extra magnet. In order to mount the pump, there are 4 blue plastic "foots" that connects the inside magnet to the bracket like this::
outside magnet -> glass -> inside manget -> blue plastic foot -> bracket -> pump
Not only this makes the pump stick out much longer, it's also not as secure because of the blue plastic "foots". I feel this extra stuff is waste more tank space for nothing. I checked the manual that came with the pump but there is no mention of this plastic foots. However, I can't find another way to mount the pump without using them. Questions:
1. Is this the new mounting method?
2. Can I go back to the old mounting method?
3. Am I using the mounting kits incorrectly?
