Why is my saddleback prone to ich but others are not?

My saddleback gets sick every so often, and the rest of the livestock has been doing really great. It's been like this for a few months now. It seems like shell get show signs of ich, then one day looks bad, then goes back to normal. The rest of my fish have been with the saddleback and theyve never shown signs, im not sure why.

I know I should take the clownfish out for quarantine, but i dont have one setup and im afraid that will make things worse for the clownfish and possibly the rest of the fish. Id have to remove all the liverock i have just to catch it.

Is it possible only 1 fish gets affected while the rest do well?

Yes, its very possible. I used to work for a tropical fish dist, and i would see 1000's of fish in a tank with no ich but then two or three just covered and inches from death. None of the other fish would get the parasite, but those few would get it real bad.

I blame it on genetics, and in your case that might be what is going on.

Dont know if they are more prone but maybe because of their coloring its easier to see when they have an outbreak.

I think saddlebacks are more prone. These also get popeye easier than any orther clown. Maybe they are just not as hardy (face it if Nigripes were as hardy as Clarkii there would be a lot more of them in the market). Sometimes it is where a fish comes from, in that a a fish that lives in a habitat that is subjected to water temp changes, salinty changes etc. from storms, runoff whatever may be more hardy than a fish from a reef that has very little change.
