why is my tang so dumb

I bought a yellow eye kole tang a few months back... QT'd him and all that good stuff. stuck him in my 180 display tank with 2 RBTA in there.... he keeps swimming right by the things and getting stung... he has a sting mark on his left side and 2 minutes ago just floated around it then stuck his tail right in it. now it has another sting mark..... anyone else have a dumb tang or does mine just have a death wish

I don't recall seeing any larger anemones when I dove on the Big Island a couple of months ago. It's likely that Koles don't have any instinctual reason to avoid nems due to the habitat they come from.

Then again.....maybe he's just a dunce!
