Hello,

I want to buy a tang in my reef aquarium, it's a 4 foot 90 gallons aquarium. I don't want to common yellow tang. Any suggestion or experience with tang in a 90 gallons.

appreciated

I agree with all of the above EXCEPT the Saifin which gets HUGE! And the Purple, who gets pretty big and needs more room just cause he's a meanie;) Tominis' are difficult
I say Kole Tang

If not a Yellow, a Kole makes sense in a tank of that size. Purple is possible - but you might be looking at aggression issues depending on tankmates....

Thanks for your suggestion. this is what I read about purple tang: they are very aggressive.

I will do some search on the kole and tomini tang. I was expecting a suggestion like blue powder or brown powder.........

If anyone has a blue powder tang in a 90 gallons for more than 4-5 years. let me know about your experience

Yes, two had mouth infection on 3 kole tang at my fish store last week. And my " reef advisor" at this store hesitate to recommend me this fish....

Ã"šÃ‚»The convict tang look interesting, however I look for fore flashy color ( I switched from freshwater to salt water for that)

Blue-eye bristletooth is another option, a bit different from standard kole tang. Check wetwebmedia for a pic. But if you're looking for color the Tomini might fit the bill better :)
