widerspread stream?

I had used a 6105 in the past and it was a little targeted of a stream...

i have been since using 2 vortechs...

i am going larger in tank size now

96x32x28

what would be the ideal tunze configuration solution for the tank?

The 6205's would have a much wider flow pattern due to the wider output, but also a little less reach, a 6105 has a roughly 6.5ft by 2ft pattern. While the 6205 is about 5ft by 3ft.I would go with 2 6205's and possibly add a wavebox.

so currently i have 2 vortechs on my 150..

the new tank final dimensions will be 96x30x28

if i go with a wavebox and 2 6205's how will the tank be different compared to the vortechs i am running currently?

does the streams cancel out the wavebox? will the large wavebox work on a tank that size?

In terms of GPH the Vortechs do about 3200gph and cover a roughly 4 * 3 area, of course that channels and carried further in a narrower tank. The 6205 will do about 5200gph at full power and cover a 5.5 by 3ft area. The wavebox produces a wave flow which lifts and suspends detritus that the 6205's can then sweep away. The only way the Streams can cancel out the wavebox is if you have the Stream aimed directly into the output of the wavebox.

BTW, the new 6215 has a stronger pump and will definitely work on the 350g tank you are setting up.

from a noise perspective will the wave box add much?

also how low do i need the water level to sit below the eurobrace to accomodate the box's wave effect?

I would figure on a wave that is 1-1.5" high. I would allow 2" from the top of the tank to the waters surface, the maximum wave height can be adjusted but in general at least 3/4" is needed for a good effect.
