Widgeo grass substrates and lighting

Can widgeon grass grow successfully in 100% aragonite sand so long as I dose nutrients? Will 110 watts of CF over a 55 gallon tank be enough light for WG? Does WG survive year round in tropical temps. or does it day down during a few months? Aside from mineral mud or miracle mud, is there anything I can add to the substrate to make it more rich? How many inches of sand does WG need in order to grow well?

Widgeon seems to require similar lighting to Halodule (shoal grass) so I think you'll be at the bare minimum of light levels.

It does survive year round in subtropical to tropical temperatures, doesnt seem to do too great above 80F, much like many lagoon and reef inhabitants.

I'm using mud, fertilizer tabs, water column dosing to keep up with it, its doing very nicely so far. Substrate of four inches is working well, have a feeling you could get by with two or three if you wanted to push it.

Just my initial thoughts -- :)
