Wifi Adapter Question

I see lots of people are using the Netgear wifi adapter for their Apex. What are the advantages of it over others? Is Netgear the only one compatible with Apex? Anyone use others than Netgear?

I have one. I would say others may work but this is the one recommended / suggested by Neptune systems when you contact them for support

I'm sure there are a bunch that work. I use the netgear because it is super small and fits on my Apex panel. Plus when I bought it they were only about $20 if I recall.

It works MOST of the time. There are times where it loses connection causing you to need to reboot it and/or the apex and once it totally went wacky and I had to do this weird dos firmware update to get it reset and working again. Due to these occasional issues, I still wire up a hard line when I'm gone on vacation.
