Found a cool clip on youtube that demonstrates anemonefish and anemones in thier natural environment.

One thing I found interesting is the pillar or h.magnificas with some orange skunk clowns around 3:15 . It appears the be taking some rather uniform, laminar flow. I was always under the impression that laminar flow isnt really "desirable", especially for mags.

This was an awesome video... Watched this with our 1.5 yr old and he couldn't stop pointing and yelling at the screen... At the end of it, my Wife asked, why don't we have one of those anemeones (Mag)?

OP, constant laminar flow is not common in the ocean. It is much more likely that the flow goes back and forth, but in long cycles.
