Wild bicinctus

I saw some on a specials list recently, and Kevin Kohen confirms he saw some back in March. Has anyone seen/purchased any??

They were on the SDC wholesale list a couple weeks ago at around $50 a piece. That is a little expensive for most LFS to take a chance on I think.

I guess I was more curious to hear how they fared. Good survival rate? Or lots of breaking down...

They are by far my favorite clown, and I'd love to finally get some. I haven't seen WC for many years now.

From what I understand there were two suppliers of Red Sea fish to the U.S. One specialized in larger fish (angels, tangs, butterfly fish) and the other concentrated on the smaller fish (clowns, pseudochromis, blennies). The small fish guy is no longer sending fish this way (don't know why). That's why you haven't seen wild caught fridmandi, bicinctus, blackline blennies, Red Sea Mimic blennies (my favorite) and others for quite some time.

This is why I started sniffing around for these clowns again, after seeing the various small wild caught Red Sea fish popping up on LADD.
