wild caught black osc

A few years ago I had a guy call me telling me he just received tons of wc black osc. Needless to say I got excited and jumped, and said I would take all of them. A few days and some money later, I am staring at 45 black sebae clowns, oops.

I lost track of how many times I've seen that happen with A. polyumnus, black variant.

Cool thread guys.....

I am pretty excited that we are getting the Black Ocellaris from Australia again. The supplier had thrown out his last batch of brood stock due to an internal microbacteria that was causing the fish to ship and hold poorly. Now he's back up and running....and we are seeing some great fish. Price has come down some, and we are able to sell them at a good price.

I think it would be cool if we could get some wild caught ones too....but this guy isn't too "keen" on sending wild's....more like the fear of competition, or could be environment issues.

I do know that he collects for himself only...the mertensi anemones...and won't send any as they are not that plentiful....so the guy is thinking for sure!
He said he only got 15 anemones in a full day of diving. Not exactly huuge numbers. One here and there would be sweet!

Best regards

Eric

As far as I know there are a few people here who are breeding these little guys? I am a rank novice when it comes to shipping but what would be involved in shipping to the US? Would be pretty easy to breed another couple humdred per month I think? plus I now have another pair spawning so........
I know shipping is a little off topic so if anyone knows and feels it doesnt belong in this thread then please PM me.
Nathan
