Wild Caught Clownfish Question

Evyllchyld

Trying again
I plan on getting 2 wild caught true percs in about a week or 2 and read a lot of them coming with parasites and/or problems. I was just wondering if there are specific things that I can look out for with them?? (the way the look, act or anything to that effect) And can I just treat them right away to make sure their are no problems or is there a negative effect of doing that? Also, can anyone point out a treatment method or solution to any/all problems having to do with wild caught percs when you first recieve them? Thanks for any info

I would treat with a 10 min freshwater dip and then treat the QT tank with fomalin,,you are going to QT arent you?

how can I setup a small QT tank??? Would a 5 gal tank with like a heater be OK for a quarantine tank??? I'll need some help with that. Any suggestions?

i have 2 red and black clowns (cinamon) that are wild caught and theses are a pair.im trying to breed these at the moment.
what i did was ordered them via my lfs and i had him quarentine them for me for two weeks in one of his display tanks so i could see them whenever i wanted just had to walk into the shop and there they were.
i would do the same if i was you not only that if one dies in his quarenteen tank you havnt lost out on any money because you dont pay for them till you take them.

20 gal or even a 10 but a little bigger is better. Treat them with formalin or since your newer to this I would go with coppersafe at half dose for a day and then full strength the next.

I would post this question in fish disease
