Wild caught fish, ID please?

This is wild caught during my trip to a beach. Around half an inch. very active. So far no interest in pellets. It has been eating bloodworm.

Is that in your main tank? It is not a good idea to take anything from the wild and place it into your tank. Not only for the risk of bringing in disease, but it is also highly illegal.

Sorry, I didn't describe the situation. I am from a country in the south east asia. It is only illegal to export reef fish. You can catch and bring anywhere in the country. Also my main tank house only one clarkii and this little fish. I am afraid it might not be reef safe.

What is the body of water called it came from?

Bay of Bengal. Chaung thar Beach.

I have never seen a fish like that before. I cant come up with anything while searching that bay with a fish with that color that is that small.

Thanks for the help. I also catch some hermits. Left handed, blue leg, red leg and some snails. Possibly nerite, nassarius, cerith and conch. Two blenny, possilbly lawn mower.

Whats your method for catching the fish?

Just usual fish net use in Aquarium. These fish are trap in small body of water surrounded by rock during low tide. I scoop the up and put in a bucket.

Remember not to release it back to the ocean if you don't want it any more. There is risk of spreading disease from your tank to the wild then.

It must be nice to be able to collect your own livestock, some day i will set up a cold water tank so i can do the same.

Even in the US, it is highly dependent on location. For instance, in Florida you can catch fish for keeping in the aquarium, as long as the fish is legal to catch and you don't try to sell it.

Agreed, looks like a juvie T. jarbua. The blenny you've posted looks to be Istiblennius edentulus; a type of Rockskipper Blenny. Nice finds!
