Wild SPS in Papua New Guinea! (photos)

So I was diving along a wall at around 20ft and found this just laying there:

Not sure why, but I decided to pick it up and see if it was dead:

WOW, it was so heavy it pulled me straight down and the color nearly blinded me!

Had to toss it back on the wall and adjust my BC! lol

I left it here so it could grow up and be big and strong...though I wished it was coming home to live in my tank.

Beautiful. Where were you diving?

A friend of mine runs a sustainable harvest business out of Port Moresby, collecting off of Daugo Island. AFAIK, he has the only commercial collection license for PNG.
