Wildfires in Area

Hello All,
I am planning to come down to the disney parks in a week and was wondering how the fires are affecting things down there. How is the air quality? Are the parks being affected at all?
Thanks,
Bill

it comes and goes. been better lately (but I am not out at disney). Some days its been pretty smoky. You should be fine, I have not seen one of those "smoke everywhere you go" days for many weeks now. Part of the problem with the smoke all over the state was that we were getting ocean winds from both coast effectively trapping the smoke. Thats gone and many of the fires are out and undercontrol at this point. Not that we are out of the woods....so to speak....but you should be just fine.

You'll be absolutely fine. There's a storm coming for the next day or so dropping a lot of rain that will put out almost all the fires. The wind is blowing from the south, which will also help. The big fire(GA/FL border) is I think 70% contained. Air quality has been in the good range(except for one week or two last month).

Central FL news 13 has weather on the 1's when you get here if the place you stay has brighthouse.

Yeah winds have shifted and are getting rid of a majority of the smoke, there arent any HUGE fires going in central fl right now, but that can change daily. Weve had some road closures and stuff but nothing terrible, I dont thinkg the parks have been affected other than smoke being banked down and aggrevating people and im sure if disney shut anything down due to a wildfire it would be all over the news........ Mickey and minnie driving around in fire trucks and what not:)

...... lol.....dont think he was asking if he can smoke

REALLY?!? ;) my bad

I was trying to get to Aquatic Ecosystems the other day and they had the road shut down because there were firehoses being run across it for a fire. Don't know if it was a wildfire, but it was annoying. Not too smoky though.

The only smoke affecting the Disney parks next week will be caused by your credit card being swiped until it melts and the constant rubbing together of $20 bills as they are yanked from your pocket at the speed of light.

Thanks for the advice everyone. dugg, I have already noticed the smoke from my credit card, but hey its a vacation right? Thanks again, you all are very helpful. Its nice to have a community like this wher people help each other out.
Thanks again.
Bill
