You mean by himself?? Clowns are damsels so they do not really like company. 20gal is great for most clowns. Too small for a maroon IMO.

Yes...IMO will be OK. Clowns in general do not swim very well so do not need lots of room, but of course more water volumn is always better.

Right. They tend to hang out in one section of the tank, especially if they have a host anenome.

I keep my clarki in a 20.
