i have a midas blenny, a royal gramma, a purple firefish, and a lubbock's wrasseÃ"šÃ‚© All within the 2 inch rangeÃ"šÃ‚©

they are in a 50g with lots of rock as in less water spaceÃ"šÃ‚©Ã"šÃ‚©Ã"šÃ‚©Ã"šÃ‚©Ã"šÃ‚©Ã"šÃ‚©Ã"šÃ‚©

oh yeah, and i will move within the city every in 4 months and 8 monthes because life as a student in the dorms Ã"šÃ‚©Ã"šÃ‚©Ã"šÃ‚© is hardÃ"šÃ‚©Ã"šÃ‚©Ã"šÃ‚©Ã"šÃ‚© this means that if/ when the tank occupants get bigger i can swap em outÃ"šÃ‚©

thanks, Danny

I dont see a problem. Flame angles are really nice. Make sure you get a really bright one. Many times I'll go to the FS and see some that are totally washed out. If you search good enough you'll find one that's nearly glowing...

None of my angels lift a finger in my reef...when I asked them to clean the front glass, I was completely ignored

Seriously - it should be just fine:D

I've had many Dwarfs and they will nip/irritate in particular Zooanthids Clam mantles and Brain corals. They should also be one of the last additions because when they become established they can become aggressive in particular with new additions.

The real answer is that there is no answer to that. Chances are that he will be fine, but you can find plenty of threads that tell the story of someone removing a angel from their reef. Bottom line is that if you add one you must be prepared to remove it.

I'm so sorry! I was answering the question in regard to tank size not reef-safety!!
As mentioned by others it's hit & miss. It's is also true that some corals are going to be more at risk than others - that's part of the confusion with dwarf angels & whether or not they are safe -- not everyone has the same stuff in their reef.

One suggestion is to put a fish in a separate tank/regugium & try your corals & clams on the fish. But even with that a fish sometimes suddenly decides he has a taste for corals that he never had before

FWIW All my angels - flames, cherub, CB & even the Herald's were "reef safe", including the clams untill I added an open brain. No one bothered the brain except for the Herald's angel. So I removed the brain :D

You've probably seen them by a different name or something - they aren't rare or anything- But I'm alway happy to show off my fishies - In S.Michaels' older book he says they get to be 3.5 in but in his new book, unless it's a misprint, he's apparently found they can get as big as 5-6 in. This is just about my favorite angel -- it has such a graceful swim style & peaceful attitude
