will a tang eat this algae?

i have some algae in my 14g tank and i was thinking about putting some in my other tank for my tang to eat but i wanted to make sure it would eat it first. so here's the algae.

I think it is unlikely that your tang will eat that. Rabbitfish would more likely eat it.

A sally lightfoot crab would love that stuff. Mine eat it all within a couple days and remains a model citizen with SPS, ZOAs, polyps, etc.

I think the sally crab would be your only "guarranteed" feeder.

well my tang won't eat the nori sheets i put in so i have to find other things it will eat. any ideas?

Well I'd have to disagree a Kole tang would probably eat that stuff. They'll eat almost anything. My rabbit is far pickier than my PBT and Black Tang when it comes to eating different algaes. Hope this helps tim

I'm thinking that looks like hair algae and if Tangs ate hair algae in general wouldn't hair algae be easy to deal with! There are always exceptions though...

No nothing will eat that. Garbage algae. Only a fuge will rid you of that scurge.
