Hey guys, I just bought a big birdsnest colony and Half of it is pink colored but the other half is covered in green algae. So I was wondering if the algae would go away and the pink color would ever come back to that side.
No, sorry, it's dead where it lost skin and birdsnest rarely encrust on rocks, much less dead areas. I would cut out the dead parts and re-mount to the rock.

I would be even more aggressive and say that you should take whatever completely healthy frags you can off it and dispose of the rest. That is the best you can hope for. Do not leave the dead skeleton in there as all it will do is trap algae and be difficult to deal with.
