will copperbanded butterfly be alright?

I'd like to use a copperbanded butterfly fish to control my aptasia but I'm worried about my clams, christmas tree worm rock and other corals. Do you people think that it will be alright or that it will cause problems? Here is a list of everything my tank has:

My fish:
Volitan Lionfish
Snowflake Eel
Engineer Goby
Tomatoe Clown

Inverts:
Maximas x2
BIG sebae anemone
Christmas Tree Worm Rock
Candy Cane
Xenia / Anathelia (spelling?)
Polyps / Zoos
Mushrooms
a Leather
Green Brittle Star
Astrea and Turbo snails
2 peppermint shrimp (in fuge)

Equipment:
Reefstar 250W MH 14K
ASM G3 Skimmer
20 gal sump
20 gal Fuge
150 lbs Liverock
90 lbs aragamax sand
Mineral mud
Mag 9.5 return Pump
2 Fluval 4plus powerheads

I think you would be ok except the chistmas tree rock! I have one in my reef tank and he leaves everything alone except the tube worms. He has never touched my clams but he has never gone after any aptaisa either! I still had to put some peppermint shrimp to control these pest!

Also only get a CBB that is eating well at the LFS and NOT just brine shrimp!

Good luck,
Martin

They've been known to pick on clam mantles and I'm sorry to say but your Christmas tree worm rock might be gone as well.

I would be worried more about your tomato clown harrassing him to death. If that clown is established, it would make it very difficult for the CBB to settle in.

Well I thought I'd give it a shot so I've added a very large one to my tank. So far... not great. It was very interested in my sebae until my big tomatoe clown took a bite out of its tail fin for getting too close. Even the volitan which is only 2" longer than the copperband has tried to eat it! The copperband is 5" long and 4" tall and the lion is 7" long.

They really are hit and miss. I'm on my third one now. I had no luck with my first two, but the one I have now has been great. He hasn't touched any corals(but I don't have a cristmas tree or clams, yet:D ) and he ate avery aptasia I had in 3 or 4 days(about 80 of them). I then started to worry about him starving, but now he eats frozen foods like a champ!!!
