Will epoxy cause a protein skimmer to go bonkers?

Epoxy putty would make mine go ape, but super glue never did. I would just empty the skimmer before using the putty so the overflow didn't dump goo into the sump. It would eventually run its course and the skimmer would go back to normal.

Mine would. But after a while would go back to normal functioning.

Yes. Turn it off a few days , wont hurt anything. They go crazy if you add a new frag. This is the main reason for a sump. Put the skimmer in there. Or dont use the skimmer and get just a few fish.
