Will Erythromycin affect biological filter?

Hi everybody!
My new clown fish in QT shows the signs of tail rot :worried:. I tried to use MELAFIX, but it did not get any better. I want to try API E.M.Erythromycin. Will this stuff affect biological filtration in my QT?

It will likely affect it to some extent. I would monitor ammonia levels during treatment. Bio-spira can be used to reseed the biofilter after treatment.

Ragged, torn, or missing fins
Research:
a) Fin Rot and Tail Rot (bacterial)
b) Marine Ich (parasite)
c) Ammonia Poisoning in marine fish
d) Uronema (parasite)
e) Brooklynella (parasite)
f) Marine Flukes (parasite)

but since the fish in question is a clownfish, I would be highly suspicious of Brooklynella

I've used erythromycin extensively with biological filtration and have never seen an ammonia spike.
