Will False Percula Clowns Host Anything?

Hi,

I have a pair of False Percula Clowns and I'm curious if they will host anything? They don't host my frogspawn or xenias. Do you think they would host an anemone and if so, which kind is best for them?

Thanks for your help!

Laurie

My false perc mated pair has hosted my pulsing xenia at one time. They are now hosting a brain coral since I got rid of the xenia. Never attempted to host my torch.

No, A. Ocellaris will not host those things. But there are several things that will host the A. Ocellaris like the corals you mentioned and several types of anemones. If you have the proper lighting, tank size, and experience I would recommend an easy and inexpensive E. quadricolor.

Clowns will sometimes host power heads. It all depends on the personality of fish. I have a young pair where the male is hosted by the frogspawn and the female is hosted by the anemone.

I have a pair that Occs that have been hosted by Bta, Gbta, Rbta, Lta and Carpet.
I have a smaller pair in another tank that doesnt know what an ananome is, I have a Bta and Lta in the tank and they host the powerhead instead!

Mine is currently hosted by an E. quadricolor;
Has hosted in an LTA in the past as well.
I also second the suggestion of E. quadricolor... The LTA I once had lasted for years but was sensitive when I was unable to maintain the tank as well as I liked. My E. quadricolor OTOH is a trooper, having recently gone through some serious trauma but now recovering slowly.

they host RBTA's

I never found my occy to want to be hosted, she just patrolled the tank like a little soldier. my percs, on the other thing, have pretty much taken turns living in everything in my tank, from rocks to magfloats to corals.
