Will foxfaces fight?

My foxface rabbit fish out grew my tank, so I'm trying to catch him. In the mean time I got a good deal on a very nice 3 incher. The other one is 6 inches. Can I put them together until I catch the other one or should I put the small one in the sump. The tank is a 75 gal with 80 lbs rock., corals and other fish.

I have the 3 inch one floating now. Has anyone had sucess introducing a small fox with a larger one in tank.?

I don't think a 75 is big enough for 2 rabbit fish. I did a lot of reading/research before I got my One spot and most people recommend only one to a tank.

Thanks for reply. Has anyone out there tried to put a very small one in with a bigger one successfully?

Rabbits will fight with other rabbits. With most fish they're peaceful because they know how well they can defend themselves, but with conspecifics it's a different story. It might be wise to release your new foxface into the sump until you catch the larger one and remove it from the display.

i have 3 diff types of rabit fish all the same size, ~4 in, in one tank and they pal arround. there is an obvious pecking order, but they dont fight at all. if the 2 fox faces are that diff in size they will establish a pecking order quickly and wont fight. the larger one wont feel threatened and the smaller one wont try to threaten. should be no problem and they will probably swim arround together in the tank the smaller one slighty lower than the larger one. i do agree that a 75g with only 4ft of length is pretty small for a foxface however as they love to swim.
