Will it hatch tonight ?

Baby brine will not work the need rotifer because they contain the vitamins they need. You can feed baby brine in about a week along with rotifer. If you don’t have rotifers in their tank now none will likely survive. The ones still living are feeding on their egg sack which will soon deplete. Not trying to be the bearer of bad news but there is a learning curve for raising fry.

If you want to try to raise clown fry you must have plenty rotifers ready on the day of the hatch. The artemia eggs will hatch in about 24-36 hours depending on the temperature. The sea chem. Phyto Plankton should work as long as it is a live culture which must be kept in the refrigerator at all times.

Hang in there and do more research.:reading::reading: You will get another chance in about 2 weeks.:)

That's a beautiful pair you have and you should be proud.

Like I said before, I was able to raise 6 out of about 200 fry with newly hatched BS. With rotifers I was able to raise about 90% of the fry. Since this your first batch (and your fish's first batch) the chance of you being successful with BS is pretty slim. Now you know how long it takes your eggs to hatch. They should lay again in a couple days. Use this time to get a rotifer culture going, instead of trying to raise this first batch, which will probably be futile.

Thank you for your replies !:wavehand:
I was awared that this first batch will not survive without rotifers, but since they laid eggs without expectation, I said I should try some experiments.
The rotifers are on the way, everythig will be prepared when they'll lay eggs again.
Still.....how long normaly the egg sack should keep them alive ? How long until it depletes ?

I can tell you that the babies will eat a lot more rotifers that you think. You should set up a couple of good sized cultures or better, a lot of small ones. I used 2 liter soda bottles, I think I had 4-5 of them going and I still ran out a couple of times. After the first few days I did get them to eat golden pearls when the rotifers were scarce. Baby brine come later after the babies grow up a bit. If you don't have it I strongly urge you to get the Wilkerson book "Clownfishes" which spells it all out for you. It is a lot of work but very rewarding to raise clownfish, I did it 3-4 times several years ago.

The yolk sac will keep them alive for around 3 days, give or take a day.

The last batch is lost.....
But they just laid a new one !!! A lot more eggs this time!
I'll keep posting , I made some nice shots and movies .

I filmed them when they laid the eggs.....
Wonderfull nature !

Interesting spot they choose for laying eggs....an the edge of the pot that keeps the anemone steady in place. (the anemone feels safe in the pot that has no bottom, she can come out of the pot anytime...).
I put a piece of tile on the old spot they laid last time, but they didn't even touched it once, so they picked up this spot . And they laid a lot of eggs! I guess that maybe 4-5 times more than the first time

Last time, I filmed the moment when the eggs hatched. If you have the patience , you'll see how two little eggs, get loose and swim away
